Hope is about 8 weeks old and is named Hope because of her fighting spirit that kept her alive. Someone found her half unconscious in Netcong, covered in fleas, emaciated, and with worms hanging out of her. Her hematocit was at 5, which is generally not sufficient to sustain life. After a transfusion, medicines, syringe feeding, and a week of care, her blood count came up and she more than doubled her weight and regained her strength and energy. We are happy to report she is now a normal kitten and ready for adoption!
